Aeon Flux Synopsis

It is the 25th century, and a virus has wiped out nearly all of the Earth's population. The lone surviving outpost is Bregna, a walled, utopian city-state governed by scientists. But all is not well in this supposedly perfect society. The government practices totalitarian rule, and citizens regularly disappear, with no trace of them seen again. Within the band of rebels dedicated to fighting the totalitarian government, Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), one of the rebellion's best assassins, is given a top-secret assignment. Her mission: to kill the leader of the government. Based on the animated series that aired on MTV in the 1990s.
