Great trailer; horrible movie
"WE DON"T CARE ABOUT HUMAN PLOTS IN THESE TYPES OF MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited when I saw the trailer, but three minutes into the movie I knew I would be disapointed. I want to see the two monsters battling it out with their high tech weapons. But when I saw the old plot--"Teenage boy has crush on girl who has a bully boyfriend, boy gets beat up by bully and freinds, boy gets girl" The old traditional human plots dominate the movie and they have nothing what so ever to do with aliens vs predators. I was like NOOOO! I got my hopes up and paid good money to watch the alieans and predetors fight. Oh yea, about the fight scenes. I could barley make out what was going on because they made the fight scences (the few there were) so dark. Sometimes I could not tell the difference between the aliens and predator. That's another thing One Predetor."
Darkness
"This movie could have been much better if we could have seen the aliens. The lighting was terrible, if not for the extras on my Blue-ray, I would'nt even know what the new creature looked like. Just one shadow battle after another with all deaths ending the same. Perhaps the F/X crew was afraid to turn up the lights due to bad costumes/effects. Bottom line...skip it"

"This is one of the best science fiction film of 2007/2008.The special effects are excellent!The plot is good and predator looks great and so does the alien/predator known as the hybrid.I loved this movie and I think it is great!"

"horrible movie. avp1 was a decent idea and visually entertaining.part 2 was silly. 2 super alien beings against dumb humans. nothing original and just a silly kill fest without any sense of logic. they probably wrote this movie in 5 minutes.you're better off cutting your toenails than going to see this movie."

Kills the brand
"This movie is so bad it kills the brand of the previous great movies Alien and Aliens and the Predators - especially the original. This is a slasher flick except it's aliens instead of Freddy Kreuger. Just pathetic and an embarrassment to the previous films that built the brand of both classics. People want to see this movie to get a kool and imaginitive backstory. Not just blood and guts. You can get that anywhere. The studio made a big mistake agreeing to this script. I will not see the next one unless the review are good. Waste of money, waste of time, and it's too bad how awful this is."
THE BOOKS ARE BETTER

Are U Serious!!
"I'm not normally judgemental, but people who liked this movie must have saw it stoned. As a fan of all the Aliens movies and a Huge Predator and even AVP fan this movie was VERY disappointing. At least AVP had a storyline. This movie had so much potential and they destroyed the whole legacy. As bad as the movie was, they could have saved it if the person at the end the introduced would've been Ripley, or Sanaa from AVP, or Glover from Predator ANYONE having 2 do with the originals, but no.. It was just some nobody. They traded an actual script for gore. That only works in video games guys. AVP wasn't gorey enough, but it had great action, u could actually see the creatures, and u actually rooted for the main character and followed the story. Their was NO connection to any character...Just don't waste ur money, it wasn't even about the money to me I just wish people would STOP F in up classics."
Hang most of the writers this year.
"With the exception of 2 or 3 movies in the last 12 months, -this year stunk! Real bad. We have been bombarded with weak scripts, weak stories, horrible casting, and overall lousy productions. Movie makers are depending on special effects to cover up their utter laziness and ineptness in making good movies this year. AVPr is just another example how the "new" generation of writers, stink!"
Waste of time and money!!
"Ridiculous. Having a maternity ward full of babies, a few children and several pregant women killed by aliens, not my kind of intertainment. Movie plot was very sketchy and didn't make since most of the time. NOTHING LIKE AVP1. The director must think that Gunnison, CO consists of about 30 people and that military soldiers are incompetent. There are so many problems going on in this movie it is hard to keep track of what they are trying to portray. Should have gone and seen NT 2 or I am Legend again. Waste of money and time."

It needs MORE!
"This movie was a big dissappointment to me, It needed more of predator kicking butt, that blonde girl should have gotten naked at least once, the fight scene between predalien and predator should have been 6,000 times more epic, the sheriff should have known the city was going to be nuked when the military told him to go to the center of the city, that woman who said the government doesn't lie should have gotten a bullet in the head (by me). The only good parts of that movie were when predator killed humans. This movie needed a whole lot more to it, Freddy vs Jason was better than this."

"This movie will never win any sort of award. It will not launch a film career. It won't be referenced as "groundbreaking" or "revolutionary" by any film makers to come. That said, it will be a very fun 1.5 hour feature. The many tributive scenes referencing the films previous will make a die-hard Alien or Predator franchise fan squeal. It's worth a matinee price, though I would draw the line there. Have fun."

Retitle this from AvP-R to AvP-Bmovie
"The possibilites were endless on how this storyline could improve, yet the Strauss Bros. fell into the same trap as most other sequel makers- rehashing scenes from the successful versions. Was that Ripley driving an APC with a little girl in tow? No, a rehash. It must be "ALIENS" if we are to reach the top of an alien infested compound and fly away just ahead of a nuclear blast, right? No, a rehash. This predator is different, he is getting rid of all evidence, right? Until he has the strange urge to rehash the skinning and hanging of corpses...why? Only thing I didn't see as a rehash, suddenly the predalien can impregnate at will and aliens mature in about 10 seconds, since it would take to long to grow a queen and have her lay eggs. That wasn't done out of convenience at all...I swear. If you really want to see this movie, wait to rent it. P.S.No suspense, action wasn't that good. "Aliens" and the original "Predator" were much more visceral and exciting."
Better than the reviews
"I just saw this film and it was the most hard core of them all. It needed to be a bit longer but the ending left it open for another. Far more ruthless than any of the other predator movies. Excellent and not as bad as other people have reviewed. In my opinion it is all what you are after for the type of entertainment. With a sci-fi action flick such as this you get what you want a roller coaster. Agood choice for any previous Alien or Predator fan!"
Crappy Movie - worst ever
"It was killing just for the sake of killing. No plot, just gore. Almost everyone dies. Kids, babies, women in labor - they had no shame."

"it was not very good at all.. really chessy the music in background was from dora teh explore while she was lost in a dark cave !!i felt like i was wacthing some freddy krougher movie instead of alien movie !! its the worst i have seen from this franchise !!save your movie for an other movie not a good movie at all -- and the people who made it knew it was bad -- thefore explaining the release date on xmas !!"
