THE GREATEST ALLEGORY OF OUR NEW "AMERICAN EMPIRE"

"There's something to be said about the power in a "stream of subconsciousness" filmmaking technique. Unlike most Hollywood films today, which are micromanaged into mediocrity, Coppola harnesses all of his cinematic wit, wisdom, and a petit neurosis, to conjure up visions about the nature of man(us) at war outside and within himself. This film is as audacious in its scope and characters as is the central idea behind Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" : that "civilized" men can tame the "savages" through force of arms. APOCALYPSE NOW takes us on that "stream of subconsciousness" only to wake us from our righteous illusions of grandeur to find that it is we (U.S.A.) who have become the most "savage" of all."

THE BEST FILM OF OUR TIME, MAYBE OF ALL TIME!

"This is undoubtedly the best flim of recent times and quit possibly of all time. The photography and the story line along with outstanding acting all encumpassed by the synergy of the genious of Copalla makes this movies great! The film transends time and we can find that what was true in Vietnam is still true today in Iraq, the insanity of chaotic war that has no basis in logic along with charactors that are led by their egos from the lonley madman to the powers that be, yesterday and today. To gain a true understanding of the film, one must study the details and watch the movie al the very least 10 times."
