A beautiful yet refreshing movie.
"As our world turns to crap, its refreshing to see that someone out there still has their head on their shoulders. Bella is a moving story that really awakens the soul. It's an inspiring tale and it makes you think about your own life choices, past decisions and ones that lie ahead. I do think that Jose's story concerning the death of the little girl, may be a little too far fetched, but I think that is what allows him to show compassion to Nina in her difficult choice. I also think that this situation enables him to understand how precious all life is, and how he can help someone who needs a friend.I loved Bella, and its inspired me. If you haven't seen it yet, don't pass up a chance to watch it."
Bella -- A Movie Long Overdue!
""Bella" is a great movie. Finally... a movie that has something positive to offer... uplifting and inspiring rather than depressing and discouraging, pro-life rather than pro-death, pro-virtue rather than pro-vice. How refreshing! What a novel idea! Would that there were many more movies coming out of Hollywood glorifying good rather than evil. God help us! And God bless the people who made "Bella"!"
Drawn by the Spirit to see, but missed it
"HEARD ABOUT THIS MOVIE ON 95.5 THE FISH CHRISTIAN RADIO STATION, RECENTLY HAD MY BOYFRIEND OF 9 YRS. DIE IN MY ARMS UNEXPECTANTLY AND AS I WRITE THIS TODAY MY SON IS ON HIS WAY TO AFGANISTAN TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY! SO I GUESS I MISSED THE LOCAL SHOWING IN OUR THEATERS IN NILES, OHIO AND NEED SOME INFO ON WHEN IT IS COMING OUT ON DVD.I KNOW IT'S A MUST SEE MOVIE AND THE MAIN ACTOR AFTER READING THE REVIEWS MAKES THE MOVIE WORTH SEEING IN MY EYES! "we were very refreshed to see a movie with an original story for a change. we need more of these type of movies instead of all the trashy, violent, cookie-cutter story lines out there. this is one of the best movies i've seen in a long time. the acting was great and the message priceless. it was nice to see some fresh faces on the screen too. the critics can't appreciate the movie because it exposes too much of what's real and valuable in life. LIFE is what matters!! a "MUST SEE""

"The movie industry managed to make a great movie this year amongst a bunch of rotten turkeys such as the Mist, Fred Clause, Beowulf, etc. Bella is a great movie on it's own merits, without the use of special effects. What a great film!"

"music??great...prices???good...crowd???mixed.bartenders??? HORRIBLE!!! for those customers who are not covergirl/boy material, don't expect good or even decent service. you will be the last to be waited on. not only that, but let me share with you a true story. i approached the vip bar,ordered 1 drink (crown n coke), paid for it, & proceeded to leave a $2 tip- cheap maybe, but after waiting 8minutes so that she could make out with the boy at the end of the bar, thats all she was gonna get outta me. she then tossed the money back to me & replied "you keep it". i thought that maybe i had misunderstood so i questioned her. she again replied "you keep it i dont want it". i approached the manager whose only reply was "well maybe you shoulda left a bigger tip...I'll take care of it" & walked away. the customers always right??? i think not."
The beauty of Bella
"My sister and I were stranded in NYC this past Monday after an accident with a taxi. While her van was being repaired, we walked up to 42nd Street and watched a matinee of Bella. I can't tell you how much it moved me. I'm a tough critic, too, not easily brought to tears. The actors were so natural, and the emotions authentic. I also loved the camerawork, the gentle insistence of the director as he draws you in and won't let you look away. The night before, my sister and I had been staying at a nice hotel on Madison (I was in town for an art show--I'm a painter) and we'd chosen 'Knocked-Up' from the meager movie offerings at the hotel. It was unwatchable--and it had received good reviews. Bella exposes movies like Knocked Up for the hyped up, meaningless slop they are. Bella is a piece of art that respects its viewers, honors its subject, and without treacle-coated cliches or obscenity-riddled cynicsm, tells a great love story.If you enjoyed Knocked Up, you're too far gone to appreciate Bella."
The right choice

"This is my favorite movie in a long time. I was still crying a hour after leaving the theater. Bella is a very touching and meaningful film and I would recommend it to everyone. The "critics" don't know what they're talking about. GO SEE IT!!"
Breath of fresh air
"I can not say enough good things about Bella. Was pleasantly suprised by the exceptional acting, cinematography, story line, etc. I rarely go to movies anymore, but went to Bella to support the effort of this film company. I was not disappointed. I will probably go sit it again. I love underdogs!!"
Alejandro Does Okay
"Despite the seemingly trite story-line, there is real substance in this film. Being young and new at the bizz of making movies, Monteverde does not do shabbily. If you took out the few overly-weepy "chick-flick" scenes from the reluctantly-pregnant waitress, you'd have a near-flawless tale. It does not hurt that Monteverde has north-of-Spain "killer good looks," nor that he delivers a soulful performance. There is a great moral to this story that some folks will applaud more loudly than others. But I dare anyone to shoot it down. Bravo for a great message and righteously-happy ending."

"That was what we felt. The filming was well done, but the story line could have told soooo much more. Now that we have seen it I don't even want to recommend it to friends especially because of the last scene. There was too much for the audience to try to put together as to what was happening. Who ever produced this needs to take another look at the story line."

"This was a relief from the usual Hollywood film. The acting was good and the message great. We know why many of the critics really hate it . . . it's politically incorrect. My family enjoyed it very much (including teen sons). Good movie to see for the holidays."

"This was a great movie! On top of the cute actor, it is a really uplifting and heart warming movie! I brought a few friends along with me, and they were making fun of me because it was PG. By the end of the movie, one of my friends decided that she HAD to buy it. They also teared up/cried.I rate it five stars!"
The critics have a tainted view of life if they couldn't enjoy this movie
"All I had heard about this movie is that it was about adoption. It was a beautiful, poignant story about redemption. We can wreck our lives so badly and yet grace resounds if we allow it. John and I were both crying in the theatre, holding hands, and connecting in the silence. This movie is one that is rich with color, food, glory, meaning, and God's astounding love."

"Bella is an A-AW-AWESOME movie.. i was going into see it not knowing a thing about it.. thinking it was going to be about a ballerina! And absolutly LOVED the movie.. I would go see it again and again, and again! Its GREAT i wish it was showing in more theatres!!!!! I love the message in the movie! Most people say its confusing. But it only has one flashFORWARD. and a small flashback to his crash! But im sure if the movie was the other way around, when the girl makes her decision, it would be a number one movie! Which I don't know why... because BElla was a GREAT movie.. the way it went..."
