Equilibrium

In a futuristic society, a strict government forcibly suppresses emotions and their outlets – art, music, books -- by administering a mind-altering drug. It’s Agent John Preston’s (Christian Bale) job to punish anyone who disobeys the laws. But when he himself misses a dose of the drug, he realizes that it’s no way to live.
