Full Metal Jacket Synopsis

In the first half of the film, a group of recruits undergo basic training under the abusive command of Sgt. Hartman (R. Lee Ermey). The second half takes on the war itself, following one of those recruits, Joker (Matthew Modine), who is covering the Tet offensive as a correspondent.
