Holiday 2007 sked fills up

Warner Bros. is pushing back one of its major summer tentpoles, "10,000 BC," from next summer to what will be a busy holiday 2007 for the studio. Shift marks one of a number of dates set and moved by WB, which is also delaying Jodie Foster revenge pic "The Brave One" from June 22 to Oct. 12. That leaves "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" and "Ocean's Thirteen" as its two major summer releases. In addition, WB is opening romantic comedy "License to Wed" on July 4, where it will counterprogram "Transformers." Warner will have two major action movies late next year. In addition to "10,000 BC," it put post-apocalyptic thriller "I Am Legend," starring Will Smith, on Nov. 21. That's two weeks after Vince Vaughn comedy "Fred Claus," which it has skedded for Nov. 9. In addition, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" reimagining "The Visiting," which stars Nicole Kidman, is now set for Nov. 2.

Bonham Carter to 'Potter' pic

Going over to the dark side, Helena Bonham Carter will play one of Lord Voldermort's Death Eaters in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." Warner Bros. Carter has been cast in the role of Bellatrix Lestrange, one of the more sinister characters created by Brit author J.K. Rowling for her book series. Pictures is aiming to release the fifth installment in the lucrative film franchise next summer.

'Dallas' does date shift

Fox has undated the bigscreen version of "Dallas," previously set for Nov. 10, and hasn't yet set a new release date. Fox reps said the pic wouldn't be ready in time for its previous date. Among other upcoming releases, Par has moved toon "Barnyard" to the summer and Warner has scheduled its 2007 potential blockbusters. "Barnyard" is now scheduled for July 28. Meanwhile, Warner has claimed July 13, 2007, for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." That's the next frame after July 4, which DreamWorks and Par have claimed for "Transformers."

'Dallas' oils cast wheels

The Regency Enterprises/20th Century Fox redo of "Dallas" is heating up. Helmer Robert Luketic is rounding up his cast for the updated take on the classic '80s series: He's offered his "Monster-in-Law" star Jennifer Lopez the part of Sue Ellen Ewing, Luke Wilson is confirmed to play Bobby Ewing, John Travolta has an offer to star as J.R. Ewing and Shirley MacLaine is down for the part of Miss Ellie Ewing.

More enroll at Hogwarts

Imelda Staunton and 14-year-old unknown Evanna Lynch will be among the new Hogwarts admissions when Brit helmer David Yates begins shooting "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" in England next week. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reprise their starring roles in the fifth installment of Warner Bros. Pictures' bigscreen franchise. Story revolves around the Ministry of Magic's attempts to take control of Hogwarts and squelch Harry Potter's contention that the evil Lord Voldemort has returned. Warners will release "Phoenix" next year.
