Pulse wakes up senses
"Pulse had a higher quality cast than most teenage/young adult based storylines. The "monsters" were dramatically more intense than most of the slasher horror flick characters. Now, on the other hand, it wasn't very original. Even if it was a remake, that means the original, again wasn't very original. The plot was eerily reminiscant of several others all rolled into one. We have "White Noise" another movie based on the premise that there are other wavelengths or signals out there to be utilized by other "beings." Then there was Stephen Kings book "The Cell" where you have a signal from cell phones turning people into what he refers to as phone crazies, which are basically mindless, canabalistic psychos and the only safe place are the dead zones where there are no signals for any technological communication; and finally there was Feardotcom, you know, visit this website and the boogie man is coming for you. So if you take all of this and condense it into one overall opinion of the flick it would be: Catch it on DVD, and remember to turn your cell phones and laptops off when you go to sleep tonight."
Rather surprised...
"Given the recent string of worthless pop-up horror movie attempts like the Ring 2 and the Grudge 2 sequels, and after tasteless bloodbath extravaganzas such as Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Descent and Saw III...I decided to see if Wes Craven, whom I haven't seen anything from in awhile, came up with anything worth my time and money...Surprisingly enough, the acting in Pulse wasn't half-bad for little-known cast members...and the plot line was at least better than most 2006 horror attempts. I would recommend Pulse to scary-movie fanatics that are 13-20. You could do a lot worse than this flick, and trust me when I say...you'll get your share of pop-up horror.Dimension films, along with Wes Craven has done a lot better with Pulse than they have with the Scream trilogy. However, Wes DID recreate Pulse from it's Japanese original...so, I'm assuming the original was better. To sum it up...I'm surprised at the level of quality of this movie...the ghosts were rather disturbing and mysterious, the acting was above average...and the movie was definitely worth the 4 dollar rental fee. As far as 2006 horror movies go, Pulse definitely ranks higher on the list. Hope this review helped..."
Not that Bad
"This movie wasnt that bad. It was looking kind of fake and the story line was unrealistic, but there were parts that were good. I wasnt scared though because i pretty much predicted what was going to happen throughout the movie."

"Junk"
TERRIBLE!
"I think this movie was so bad. I am ellev years old and i get scared easily but this movie ws not scary at all!! Me and my friends were laughing! It was the same crap over and over again!! Dont waste your money. The worst horror movie ever!"
Just plain bad
"This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Now don't get me wrong, having electronic devices be the downfall of our society could have been really good, but it wasn't. As with most horribly done horror movies it has the group of teenage friends, then one goes missing, ohh scary. Then others start acting weird, and finally your left with the stupidest one of the group and the random good looking guy who comes from nowhere and seems to know everything about whats going on. That makes for a really bad movie. On top of that you have a wanna-be Ring/Grudge/Whitenoise and every other failiure of a horror movie that has come out in the past 2 years. Combining every bad movie you can think of into one will not make a good movie. Now if you like the Ring, Grudge, and whitenoise, you will most likely love this movie. But if you didn't, avoid Pulse at all costs."
Bad Plot
"this was worst horrror film of the year The movie was very boring."
