"If you want to be entertained, go see this movie. Don't go into this movie judging it for what it wasn't intended to be, but rather for what it is, entertainment. Lots of action, comedy, great special effect moments, and finally a movie without cursing. Take the kids, grandparents, or a good friend. Enjoy!"

Fantastic Movie!
"I loved the Forbidden Kingdom. It was a well-crafted blend of a modern setting with an ancient tale. Jackie Chan and Jet Li were masterful in their fight scenes. The scenery and cinematography were breath taking. All of the elements blended together beautifully to make a compelling story, exciting fight scenes and an ancient tale brought to life and completion in our era. Thank you for making this film!"
Go See it!
"I thought this was a WONERFUL film! I enjoyed the story, the action and the scenery. The action shots are great Jackie Chan sequences and Jet Li was wonderful as the Monkey King. I thought the lead boy did a great job too. Great twist at the end. There are some Super Funny parts too! Go see it and be entertained."

WORST MOVIE EVER
"This is probably the worst movie I've seen in a long time. I went with a bunch of my friends, and almost fell asleep in the first 5 minutes. Would only appeal to twerpy 13 year old boys who like anime and action. DON'T see it!!"
A MUST SEE
"This movie suprised me. The action is good. The visual images are spectacular. The even has a plot. Based on Chinese mythology with the use of the Monkey King, Jade Emperor and Jade Warlord. The movie may be past some who do not understand the mythology behind it but it is very good. If you are a thinking person read up on Chinese Mythology and then go see it you will really enjoy it. If you are a martial arts movie fan Jet Li and Jackie Chan together on film what more can I say.It is ONE OF MY MUST SEE MOVIES of this year."
FF Feel
"Kinda gave me the FF feel while playing..err.. watching it. If you have played a Final Fantasy game, it is pretty much the same plot stillI found it very entertaining. I'm actually thinking of watching it again."

"Who cast this movie? Kill them! Jet Li and JC were fine, albeit with very little chemistry to speak of. But holy moly was the lead kid bad! Did he win a school contest to be in this film? He reminded me of a dweeb at a Bar Mitzvah who goes around telling bad jokes and ending each one with a big smile by asking, huh? Huh? He was laughably horrific. And the Boston bullies were equally terrible. But at least we've seen that type of inexplicably angry gang in 588838383 movies before. Also - who wrote this movie? Kill them! It was the cure for insomnia. BORED OF THE RINGS!"

Pointlessly Enthusiastic
"If you?re not a 13 year-old boy, Forbidden Kingdom was not really made for you. I understand the appeal of Jet Li and Jackie Chan, together at last, and everyone?s hopes for a harmonious combination like peanut butter and chocolate. I shared this hope, but was served something more like canned cheese with crackers. It?s not that this combination is bad, just that their pairing is framed within a feeble, pointlessly enthusiastic action film.Forbidden Kingdom has all of the good components of a classic action film, but together, these elements work against each other in a big way. The narrative is short, but not short enough. The general tone is more like a poor comic book movie than a kung fu fantasy. This may appeal to some, but dressing up in silks doesn?t make this tired thing new again."
think before you see it

Great Movie!
"Before I even watch the movie I didn't know what to expect. The storyline was great, the action was great, the fighting was great, and the best of all the story of the monkey. I do not understand why there are some people saying they hate it or not even enough action or it is a disappointment or any negative feedback. First of all sorry I kind of take this offensive, most of the American people or all American do not know the story behind the Monkey. It is more of an Asian/Chinese story that goes way back. If you would understand the concept of what the movie is trying to set then you would understand why the movie was made. The movie was made to let people know the story behind the history of Monkey and why he was there in the first place. Overall, the movie had great fighting scenes and I totally understood the whole movie. It is a great movie to watch with your friends, date, partner, etc... You will not be upset and it is worth every penny. I would go watch it 10 times and support this movie because of the wonderful meaning and story that was told. Go watch it and think of it as a history being taught because it will make your show more enjoyable rather than society thinking that it is all about action and everything else."
Biggest disappointment ever!
"I had been looking foward to this movie for months. It was horrible! I fell asleep in the first 20 mins. I wish I could get my money back!"
Not what I expected
"The movie was okay. It didn't really make me jump out of my seat or anything. I was expecting more action, you know, because of Jet Li and Jackie Chan, well, if your not as much an action movie person as I am, this movie might actually be good for you. I'm only eleven and there wasn't enough action. Well that's just me!"

"it was cool i guess. nothing to write home about though. i felt fooled since all they basically show in the preview is jet li and jackie chan so i really didn't know what i was getting into, and was irritated when i found out since the premise wasn't as novel as i anticipated. i wouldn't go see it again, but it kept my attention while i was there."
Not worth it
"I felt as though I was watching another film version of Mortal Kombat with Shujinko being trained by Bo Rai Cho and even the ending looking like the ending of the konquest in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon. The storyline had great potential, but somewhere and somehow it fell terribly short and I can't quite put my finger on where. I know that the corny one-liners did not help, though. The kung-fu was the best part of the film as the fighting sequences were actually entertaining and well done. But the acting, storyline and dialogue of this movie were just weak. It's an okay film to see I guess if you just want to kill an afternoon. I think it's money better kept in your pocket, but if you chose to see it, it wouldn't be a huge loss. Just don't go into this movie expecting anything great or meaningful...or even comical, because you won't really get it. A chuckle here and there perhaps, but that's all."
Journey to the west at its best
"I believe that the movie was a great combination of eastern and western cultures. Jet Li was excellent as son wukong(monkey king) and i see the movie as a reminder that we should teach more eastern culture in the schools"
ABSOLUETLY WORTH SEEING
"I just seen this movie this afternoon.. Absoluetly loved it. Different than all other kung fu movies in a way, but had my attention the whole time with excellent fighting scenes, a great story line and just the right amount of humor. Two thumbs up."

"I saw this movie this afternoon and can easily say, I got my moneys worth. There is lots of action(martial arts), interesting story, and a few laughs along the way. For those who were unaware that the plot revolved around an american teen, then its your own fault. Don't you guys read the synopsis or reviews before a movie comes out. The movie isn't going to get any awards, but if you like martial arts movies or just want to see a fun movie, then this movie is for you."
Entertaining enough but it could be better!
"It was not the best KungFu movie i have ever seen. So what do you expect , it rated PG13. The line was funny and yet a **********. Jackie Chan is like a energetic bunny. His drunken style martial arts is fun to watch. Jet Li is my favorite kung fu master.He never disappointed me. Whereas the white hair woman and the so called "Sparrow".. they are cute but insinificant. Michael Angarano played Jason, the American boy from Southie Boston, good luck to your next Karate moive .. let's sum up, it's like.. "Narnia" in Chinese version..dont expect too much and enjoy the good laugh and martial arts"
Not as good as I thought!!!!
"The movie is okay if you just want to see anything but I didn't really like the fact that there was another person there it was like watching an updated version of karate kid. I thought the movie was just going to be about jet lee and jackie chan but I was wrong so the trailer was deciving. So don't go see it unless you have nothing better to do."
Enjoyable, and worth it
"Not in a long time has a fun action filled Action movie came out and one could enjoy it. I hope you don't read the comments down below of people wanting to ask for refunds or saying this is their top 10 least favorite movies, they are ignorant people who most likely spend 10 hours a day on myspace, yet alone having to post a review here that shows how well skilled in the art of writing they are. If i were you, i would go see this movie, the action is VERY well played out and the storyline is one of mythological Fantasy."
Knowing what you like and I liked this it was entertaining
"Isn't this what a movie is supposed to do entertain?well.....................B4 you go know what the movie is about and ................I have not found one movie that I could say has kept me totally engrossed the whole time there was slow moments and fast ones and ones they could just do without, but on the whole, I liked this."

"It's my own fault for going to this movie without knowing what it was about. But, honestly, it is going on my list of top ten least favorite movies. Right up there with Solaris, The Fountain, In Dreams, etc. Rarely have I been so bored at a movie."
